Bushmills Prohibition Recipe is a throwback Irish Blend (made from Grain and Malt Whiskey) from Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland. The theme of this expression is to bring back the recipe and flavor profile prevalent in the prohibition era (1920-1933).
It is also worth mentioning that this is a 2022 limited release made in collaboration with Endemol Shine North American and Caryn Mandabach Productions, the producer for the popular hit series The Peaky Blinders.

Tasting Notes for Bushmills Prohibition Recipe
The whiskey is a blend of three, four, and five year old whiskeys.
Nose: Floral, vanilla, and cereal aromas.
Palate: A medium sweet and oily arrival that develops into a slight alcohol burn sensation and bitterness. The sweetness is not strong enough to offset the intensity of the malt and the spice of the barrel. The overall texture is medium to full-bodied whiskey. Add a few drops of water and the vanilla flavor increases.
Finish: Medium, slightly bitter, intense and enjoyable,
Conclusion: Bushmills Prohibition is not an overly complex Irish Blend, but packs a good amount of flavor while keeping the Bushmills’ style. It is a bolder whiskey than Bushmills Original and Jameson Original. Those who enjoy the Irish category will enjoy this as a conversation starter.
Bushmills earned points on my board because it was not bottled at the minimum 40% ABV but created something that stands out from current expressions at an affordable price ($35), and did I say I love the throwback design of the bottle with a blue-tinted glass an exposed cork stopper?
